Introductie
Ik ben dokter Bouman, arts in opleiding tot neuroloog in Medisch Spectrum Twente. Mijn studie geneeskunde heb ik gevolgd aan de Radboud Universiteit in Nijmegen. In 2020 startte ik met mijn promotietraject naar twee zeer zeldzame spierziektes. Dit leidde tot het proefschrift ‘Optimization of clinical care and trial readiness of two rare muscle diseases: LAMA2-related muscular dystrophy and SELENON-related congenital myopathy’, welke ik met succes in 2024 heb kunnen verdedigen. Sinds 2024 werk ik als arts-assistent neurologie in het Medisch Spectrum Twente. Sinds 2025 werk ik hier als arts in opleiding tot neuroloog.
